Cutting players doesn't void their contracts. You still have to pay them. Here's our big dead money of players that we cut, traded, or retired- we still gotta pay them. (Yes, Joe Adams makes a 1/4 mil to do nothing)

Jon Beason $8,000,000 Steve Smith $5,000,000 James Anderson $2,800,000 Jordan Gross $1,725,000 Geoff Hangartner $666,668 Haruki Nakamura $365,834 Joe Adams $233,776 Tiquan Underwood $175,000 Sione Fua $126,504

No, base salaries are guaranteed after week 1.

I didn't say that cutting players voids their contracts, what I said is that you can cut players to create cap space.  Of course players will get the portion of their contracts that is guaranteed, and cutting a player can create a certain amount of dead money depending on their contract, but teams cut players to create cap space all the time. It's part of doing buisness, particularly when you're trying to get certain players signed.

For example: Tiquan Underwood signed a 2 year, $2.1 million contract, but was cut. Yeah, he'll receive some money, but a far cry from what he signed for, and that opens up cap space that can be used elsewhere.

You just dont understand how the cap works. Underwood was cut before the season and therefore before contracts were guaranteed. Im not sure why you brought him up. Its too late to gain cap space for this year by cutting a player. Thats what guaranteed after week one means.

If you would just admit you are complaining for the sake of complaining I would stop pointing out the flaws in your argument. :) enjoy your Saturday

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/10/18/trading-problem-player-percy-may-create-a-problem-with-marshawn/. Word now is that Lynch almost didn't get on the bus for the plane to St Louis and that many have become ill of Wilson's leadership style among teammates. Maybe Mr Perfect ain't so perfect as well. Gasp! I've wanted blood and guts over those jokers for a long time now, and it feels more like a feeding frenzy now than ever next Sunday. EVERYONE in Panther nation better bring it!!!

The thing about Wilson being a leader is that the players on offense don't see it. If he was carrying the team, it will be easy to rally everyone else but teammates know there are other players making SEA tick and not him. I wouldn't budge if someone I was working better than at work tried to push me around. SEA is a Lynch injury away from having no offense.
