No other QBs O lineman is getting ran over like that and still being able to produce behind it. Its gotten to the point i dare people to try to argue with me about how good Cam is.

I have been detracting Gettleman hate pretty hard.  When the salary cap clears up, he better surround Cam with some good blockers.  I hate playing what if, but if Cam had time like Jake did in 2008 we would be rather unstoppable.  I asked my some-timey friend what we learned after the Bears win.  He begrudgingly said "If Cam has time, he can produce".  In the first play, he didn't even have time to set his feet and cruised for a first down.  We shore up the o-line and we are looking at consistent championship football.

I really don't understand what's going on with this oline. I swear Trai Turner has regressed since coming here. Could it be the oline coach? How does an NFL caliber athlete get completely blown up like that? And it happens across the board - even seen Kalil get bull rushed into oblivion this year.

I think it's complete bullshit that people are now pretending like Cam hasn't been awesome and has been improving every year. Was he not an awesome quarterback last year that singlehandedly won us some games? Look at his career stats already and compare them to the greats. Cam hasn't suddenly become elite, he's been elite all along. If you're an analyst that is just now noticing, that's YOUR problem.

Cam's been awesome and a playmaker since day one, play one in the NFL. But, he has never been this accurate this consistently.

Or perhaps this new crop of WRs help his accuracy. For the most part, they have really good size.

Cam is playing better. Forget the stats, forget the win loss record. You can see it with your eyes he is making better decisions. He is getting up to the line of scrimmage and making adjustments. If you put this Cam Newton on the 1999 St Louis Rams he would have thrown for 6 thousand yards.

At the beginning of the season he had a subpar group of players around him. Since then we've lost our entire backfield. Tolbert, Williams, Stewart, and Brockel have all been out of the picture. We all know the line has struggled and Cam has "no weapons". And he is elevating the team to his level. This is what franchise QBs do. When they have no talent around them, they hold it all together. When they have talent around them they make history.

The accuracy is several things. But the most important thing is he's throwing to open receivers or throwing guys open. Early in Cam's career he would just throw and hope. But he maturing in that regard. Last week was his first "throw and hope" pass of the year when He threw it to a triple teamed KB and a safety over the top.

Trai Turner hasn't regressed.

Not sure why people thought you could just insert a rookie and he wouldn't get his tail kicked as a rookie often. People for whatever reasons penciled him and Amini in as strengths heading into this season. Amini has yet to be solid and the other was a rookie

Cam has been awesome for a rookie or good for a second year guy who is still learning the offense, etc.  But until last year he wasn't awesome, plain and simple.  He was athletic and could make plays but he had very few comebacks and could not carry the team like he does now.  As of last year he really started to finish games and had a number of 4th quarter comebacks.  He matured and began to show the leadership skills that now define him.    This year he has taken it further and is not only a runner but is developing into a very good pocket passer.

But it is BS and homerism to act as if he has always been elite because he just hasn't.  He wasn't someone who made everyone around him better until last year when he literally made Ginn relevant again.  This year Cam is off the charts.  Before that he was an athletic guy who was well ahead of the curve everyone thought it would take and he picked things up very quickly but he wasn't elite or even awesome to folks besides Panther fans.

I have to admit, up until this season I never considered Cam a elite QB and I was always so scared when he got the ball back in clutch, game winning sitautions, but now I fully 100% trust him, like in OT against the Bengals I had no doubt we would make something happen with Cam, in previous seasons I would dread him getting the ball in clutch moments but now I look forward to it.
