I am pretty sure Concussions can vary in strength, so what is the big deal talking about it?

They classify them in grades 1 - 3, with 3 being the most severe (typically being knocked unconscious). So in a way, Rivera is right when he says he had a "mild" concussion. I had a grade 1 and grade 2 in high school. In both cases, I was held out.

I saw this earlier today and all that came to mind was, what if he had said 'severe' concussion. This would have never been an issue to be drummed up. Which is what it is, drummed up sensationalized rhetoric in my opinion.
