Just as I would no longer put any value in anything Nolan Nawrocki says after his predraft hack job on Cam, I can't take anything Jaws says seriously after his ridiculous statements about Colin K. becoming the best QB in league history.

For him continually criticizing Newton for leaving the pocket too soon is nonsense, when RG3, Kaepernick and (yes) Russell Wilson are/have been less patient and accomplished pocket passers than Newton from day one, is the cruel irony and slap in the face of it.

I was just listening to PTI and when asked about Carolina, Jaws brought Cam. Here is something along the lines of what he had to say.

"When you think about the hottest QB's this season, you think of Peyton Manning, Phillip Rivers is having a great season, but I think the hottest QB this season is Cam Newton. He has been having a great season. He doesn't have the best receivers or help around him but he looks like a much more comfortable pocket passer."

Looks like some on ESPN know what they're talking about.

i pied because of the things that jaws said, but you lost me about some at espn knowing what they are talking about. i was just about to respond with this likely being a case of a blind squirrel finding a nut, but then i read the next post about jaws talking out of both sides in my mouth and saw that my thoughts had already been confirmed.

jaws talks out of his arse regularly. every once in a while he may get things right, but then he'll open up his mouth again and show that it was an accident.

It's only that ("what have you done for me lately)".

 

There are many QB's on that list, who haven't had a better career than Newton. So even that list is flawed to begin with (alongside "Jaws" incorrect assessments of Newton's QB play, especially in light of other inferior ones).

Cam has never been a run first qb. I'm tired of people thinking he was.
