After 6 Games, Panthers can throw it and not much else

I am as excited as anyone on here about Cams game right now but dont agree with the philosophy of going all in on offense because whenever,i bet on the big one (superbowl)i tend to lean toward the team with the best defense because they bring home the bacon, why, because for one its a fact that the team with the best defense has an advantage based on previous winners and two it makes a bigger impact on the scoreboard at the end of the game three good luck with trying to outscore everyone.if you dont believe me,just ask the broncos.

We'll rank top 5 in passing by the end of the year.

And Benji is a shoo in for RotY.

Not necessarily. Blake Bortles could easily win it. He plays at the more important position. I felt the same as you, but Bortles is doing well. I believe it will be one of those 2 for sure though.

For me, it's an easy call to immediately take steps to shore up the oline. We get that straight, keep cam healthy, compliment with power rushing attack, get defense better ToP to help them out.... Profit

i agree with this,good thoughts and ideas,imho.

Ive been doing some thinking and I think this team will be at a crossroads in the off season. If your Gettleman do you A. Focus on retooling the D and adding more defensive pieces to make our D dominant again but in the process neglect the offense (again) or B. Do you go all in, improve the O line and offense and just let our D stay mediocre..

My opinion, in today's NFL, I say focus on cam and the offense, Draft and sign key offensive players and just let the D go. Too much parity when it comes to defenses and with the new practice rules and just the new rules in general, defenses just have too much of an uphill battle. Look at the Saints, Chiefs and Seahawks, all three had dominat Ds last year while this year the D is faltering.

If this was the early 2000s I would be thinking the oppositie, but this is Cam's team and its time to make this a offense first team

I respectfully disagree.  The offense has been performing well enough to win, and they'll only get better with a healthy Cam and some more experience.  Admittedly, while I think it would be awesome to draft Todd Gurley, we might need to focus on the D again.  Right now if the D was performing up to last year's standard we'd probably be Super Bowl favorites.

Hardy is making out like a bandit. To think the public and media wanted to harm Hardy with their outrage and overreaction, but in reality they gave him a one year paid vacation. 13 million dollar to relax and take it easy, do a little rapping, lift some weights, chill. Way to go media. Thank. You only hurt the Panthers and their fans.

The media only pushed, the FO gave in, granted, a business decision but gave in all the same. They could have chosen to support their player until the court ruled and then make a decision from all of the information available.

got to get oline to help cam as he progress as a pure pocket passer, who scrambles from time to time. great oline can also make reg rb look better....there are to many rb that do great that are found in later rounds to draft one in 1st imo.

need a certified deep threat to help kb.

defense just needs hardy back to be honest. wouldn't mind drafting safeties/cb though.

So after six games played this is how our team stacks up.

OFFENSE

9th in passing yards

27th in rushing yards

13th in total yards

DEFENSE

23th in pass defense

30th in rush defense

28th in total yards

Who would have thought six games into the season, we would have a bottom tier defense and rank in the top ten in passing with a rookie #1 WR?

I would've thought it!!! I've been saying for months and months people freaking out over the receiving core needed to chill out. Our unit definitely improved from last year. Underwood getting cut before the season definitely should've told everyone something. He's better than Ginn as a receiver.

As far as the defense.... we got lucky with our patch and play secondary last year. Decoud is fine, but Harper and our corners have been terrible outside of Bene and a few bright moments from Norman. Hopefully we can get our entire unit healthy at some point and then we might see glimpses of last years D who lead the league in 3 and outs. We got boned by losing Hardy plain and simple.

For this week I pray that Norman can make an impact and slow down their receivers a little bit. Somebody has got to step up and make a play and get our D off the field on 3rd downs. Bene get well soon!!!
