Mild Concussion for Benji

He's the face of our franchise, he's going to be here for a long time, people are going to talk about him. Accept it, or find a new team. Quite frankly, the more I read responses like this, the more I think we really haven't moved very far forward since the days before we drafted him.

 

 

You want to talk about Cam, go right ahead.  You want to talk about him dropping back, reading the field, his arm, his long jump, pretty much anything else....go right ahead, I will join you.  I get tired of folks talking about how bad they feel for him, how wrongly the FO has done him, how he should hold out if he doesn't have a new deal.

 

Are you a Cam Newton fan or a Panthers fan?  I want to win, I want this team to be consistent, you, seemingly want wide receivers so Cam can look good on the tube.  fug that, lets win.

 

You think that I don't want a new OL?  Or how about a set of running backs that can actually help us in the run game?  What I do understand is the state of this franchise, and why those things have not been put in place yet.  You won't try that hard, you will just bitch and moan about how good the Colts have treated Luck, and how badly we have treated Cam.

Um, no....bc we are talking offense. Luke already has some nice pieces added to help him. We aren't doing a bad job there.

The FO is helping Cam as much as they can, while not gambling away the future of this team.  Cam is a very young player, he has 10 more years in him as long as he continues to play well from the pocket.  There is time, and the FO of this team, and in particular DG knows this, he is setting us up for the next 4-6 years, not for 2014.

Every time I check this forum I wonder what bad news I'm going to read. Nothing is going right. Of course I knew all along that Hardy was done for the season, so him not coming back after 6 games was no shock. Watching Burfug deliberately try to injure 4 of our players made me sick, and now to hear that he succeeded is just disgusting. This whole season just makes me sick.

The OL is not bad as ppl make it out to be, they needed time to get the Chemistry together and it showed up against Cincy. Stewart will be back for the Packers game, and  we will rely heavily on the run game and 2 TE set with Benji possibly out. IMO the OL and the run game is whats going to take the Panthers to the playoffs.

Moving forward as in, why is anyone in the year 2014 asking other Panthers fans asinine questions like "Are you a Cam fan, or a Panthers fan?". As if you cannot support Newton and other Panthers players at the same time. Why should that even be a question anyway?

 

I've seen very few people actually realistically suggesting that he should "hold out". Yes there are people concerned with what our FO has done so far to build around him, and whether you like it or not, that is a legitimate concern, and certainly a topic that is worthy of discussion.

 

As far as Andrew Luck goes, you brought him up, not me.

We're talking about the offense here. The Panthers FO has done a poor job building around Cam with OFFENSIVE weapons. And it's not just Cam "fanboys" whatever the hell that means.

And yet, given all the circumstances they've put him in, he's still coming to compete ever damn Sunday.

Yeah!  Because they're practically putting him out there with high school talent, amirite?!?!  He's the only good football player on our whole team! I'm pissed off that we haven't signed Calvin Johnson and AJ Greene for him yet. Um, we drafted Star and KK after him.

DTs let LBs make plays. Good DT play lets a 4-3 MLB maximize his potential.

Probably be best for him long term if he sits out. Man, with our weak defense and a offense that is pretty much only Cam & Benji, it doesn't look good going into the GB game. We'll definitely need another superman like performance from Cam. Don't know how he'll do it with the weapons out there. The defense could help out, but I really doubt that.

Cam fanboys? You do realize Cam is the panthers franchise qb. If you are a fan of the panthers you should be a fan of Cam just by proxy unless you aren't which I would certainly expect of someone who uses the words "Cam fanboys". In all honesty whoever the QB of the panthers is, you should be complaining about the way the FO has put weapons around him. It has less to do with Cam and more to do with wanting your franchise QB to succeed and thus the panthers team to succeed. Do you not want the panthers to succeed? Do you think that Cam plays for himself or something? Reading your post was like reading the bottom of a yahoo article anytime there is a Cam article there. Just stupid hate for no reason.
