Maybe LaFell's hands weren't cut out for Cam's lasers. I'm sure Brady throws a softer ball. Overall though, he's always been an average receiver who shows flashes of brilliance but lacked the mentality to take it to the next level.

lafell has been terrible this year and Patriots fans generally think he's trash.

Stats still have him at 0 drops. Stat guys must be snoozing.

 

He had 3 drops his first game. 6 targets, zero receptions, three drops and two penalties. He didn't get his first catch until week 3.

I don't know why he isn't being credited with any drops. I've seen him drop a few. He dropped a TD pass last week.

 

I think the Patriot O is built for him to put up better stats than he ever has here. I will say though that both he and Smitty look fitter to me this year. Maybe its just the different uniforms but they look in better shape to me.

He's had great games and horrible games. I'll wait until the end of the season until I decide if Lafell was a big loss for us. I do miss his blocking which we do need.

Hope Lafell has a good tear but can't say i'm sorry he's gone. I never had in confidence in him,just though he was to inconsistent. He seemed to have drops the most, when we needed to move the chains for a first down.

just to verify, anyone who has watched his 1st 3 games saw some of his ugly drops..  Probly good to note any sites that haven't registered drops for LaFell should largely be held in question across the board.

Part of the deal with New England must have included the surgical procedure to replace the bricks on the end of  LaFell's arms with actual hands.

 

It's just the ebbs and flow of the season for him.

 

He started off horribly. Now he's done well lately. Then he'll suck again.

 

He had the same ups and downs with the Panthers as well.
