So we get to see Peppers this weekend

Peppers or not I'm a little concerned about the prospect of facing another 3-4 defense.

I agree, another 3 - 4 defense worries me some. At least this time it looks like Cam has his legs under him. The threat of Cam busting a 10 or 20 yarder at any given moment, should at the very least slow down the edge rushers.

and..... hopefully Jstew will wear Green Bay down on the inside rushes, and allow Cam to run roughshod in the latter part of the game.

I really have an optimistic feeling about our offense in this game, I think we'll be able to establish a running game, and control the TOS, and keep Aaron Rodgers on the sidelines.

Those inside rushes don't work. Not with Cam under C. Our line can't create. Will be 28 breaking tackles to just get 2.

We need to quit thinking we can establish the run like that.

We need to let Cam be Cam and sneak the run in as he sets it up with the pass and his threat IMO.

If it's possible for us to establish an inside running game at all this season, I think Green Bay would give us our best chance so far anyway.

The inside rush does not have to be spectacular to be effective, and I think it would pay dividends in the 3rd 4th quarters, if we were able to wear them down just a bit.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not suggesting that our sole rushing option go through Jstew, And in the process handcuff Cam.

I guess it's sort of a Idyllic tought, but if it were at all achievable, it would open up so much for the rest of the offense.

No matter what else happens, I still want Cam get 15 to 20 or more carries.

    • Canales was brought in to fix Bryce. That was how he sold himself. He failed.  the panthers need a new qb, someone to coach him, and someone to build a defensive staff.  Canales has failed at developing a new qb. His big draft project XL is trending towards bust. His entire nfl resume before the panthers was one season as offensive coordinator on a stacked Bucs team, and being on the offensive staff when a 31 year old Geno smith finally put it all together. And he didn’t even pick his offensive coordinator. Assuming evero is gone, who’s he got in that phone to call? What low lvl porn addict evangelical from the bucs is ready to be Peter principled? There is nothing in his coaching history or his current performance that indicates he’s the person to move this team forward. Every other team knew this last cycle (panthers were only interview) and nothing has happened to change that perception   all people like you have is “well you can’t do it again it’s too soon but <random interval of time> will be different.  just pull off the bandage. There’s no reason to let this guy draft “his guy” except people wanting an excuse not to fire him after 2025.
    • Both Reich and Canales were saddled with trying to build and establish a viable scoring offense around Bryce Young. The best the offense looked this season and last season was with Andy Dalton who is also terrible but still better than Bryce Young. Which should be all anyone needs to know but still somehow there are weirdos here salivating over a ceiling of maybe on a really good day the 25th best QB in the league. We've already canned one entire staff over our first overall pick. You can fire everyone again to satisfy your need for vengeance and quickly come to the realization that your next hire will absolutely unequivocally be a downgrade yes man or you can blow up this QB room and then assess. If no progress next season then you can make changes and justifiably so.
    • Surprised this is the only post with this take.  This is like the Rhule kiss of death lol.
