PFF's Top Graded QBs so Far?

Cam must've had at least one? The one against the bengals was clearly overthrown so that should be on him or am i missing something?

I think they are referring to passes that weren't actually intercepted but should have been.  In other words, Cam has had zero passes this season that should have been intercepted but were dropped by a defender and Cutler has had nine.

David Newton, ESPN:

Almost every day since Newton underwent surgery to tighten the ligaments in the ankle, he has been asked when the coaches were going to turn him loose.

now, Newton officially has been unleashed.

"He had a pretty good day, huh?" tight end Greg Olsen said with a smile.

"It was a matter of time," Olsen said. "When he gets out there and starts running and gets in that flow, it's what makes him different from anybody else."

Good day, indeed.

Newton ran 17 times for 107 yards and a touchdown after running only 14 times for 42 yards in the first five games.

It was a day that sent a message to the rest of the league that the first pick of the 2011 draft is back to doing what he does best.

"He was phenomenal," coach Ron Rivera said. "He's pretty close to being who he is."

...

When Newton runs the Panthers are more dynamic offensively. The offensive line that struggled in a traditional run game flourished with Newton running the read-option.

The receivers benefited as well. Lanes opened for them when linebackers and cornerbacks paused to worry about whether Newton would run. Newton completed 29 of 46 passes for 284 yards and two touchdowns.

...

With Newton now a threat to run, it should open things up for the rest of the offense (going forward).

Stats aren't everything, Peyton Manning is the best qb in the NFL

Agreed but Cam is doing wonders with way less. I wonder if Peyton could have put up 37 on Cincinnati IN Cincinnati with the Panthers personnel. I highly doubt it.

The only other quarterback that may have been able to do that, in my opinion is Aaron Rodgers.

New interesting QB stat: Pickable passes. Who do you think is the best, worst in NFL?

Pickable passes (ball thrown that should have been INT):

Best: Cam Newton (0 in 179 att), Matt Ryan (1-234)

Worst: Jay Cutler (9-229)

his first pick was a bs tip and i can't remember his second, Hes done extremely well protecting the ball this year

I wouldn't mind seeing 2011 Cam again, but more experienced.

Dude looked absolutely unstoppable that year, whether it was running or throwing... the only thing that stopped him was himself (or a Legedu/LaFell/Ajirotutu drop) with the occasional bone-headed INT.

yeah he was a way better runner that year, hopefully he will return to that form in2015 when he is fully healed. I would say he is a much better passer now though

It's not counting actual interceptions. It's all incompletions that should've been intercepted, and maybe even passes that are caught that should've been picked. Like for example the one against us that Dalton threw and I believe Cason tipped then Sanu caught it off the tip. Maybe that shouldn't have been an interception but it may count towards this stat, I'm not completely sure. Basically saying though none of Cam's incompletions should have been picked but the DB couldn't catch it.
