I wouldn't be over excited about Robert Lester. He's been available to all 32 teams for the past 6 weeks and no one signed him.

I hope Lester has improved since preseason.  He looked about as bad as one can look, missing assignments, taking poor angles to the ball, etc.  He showed some flashes here and there last season, but also looked rough against SF in the playoffs once Mikel got injured.  I'm rooting for the kid...mostly because everything else we have at that position just plain sucks.

I always take comments on potential moves (or non-moves) with a grain of salt.

Hopefully he doesn't play as bad as he did during the preseason. We need him to become a starter at SS

Harper at SS is much less of a problem then Decloud at FS. Which is sad, because that tells you all you need to know about this years safety tandem.

I'm excited about Lester. Kid has some definite upside. Reminds me of a young Gamble. (And I truly do miss Chris Gamble. Truly.) Hoping he can learn from the veterans we have back there now, like "do as I say, not as I do". lol

 

Downer? Hell. If it takes a ST assignment to make the team, so be it. He'll be suited on the sideline.

I am not sure if this is good news or bad news? If its the same Robert Lester who was Anderson Russells BACKUP in preseason,then the best news in that case would have been not to hear any news at all.but i almost forgot,we do need help on special teams,so,maybe not too bad after all!

Of course it is, Lester will play ST's. I just wish they would take Decloud off the field and bench him, at this point I might just rather them start Boston in his place. Yes, I did watch Boston at UNC and I still don't think he'd be any worse then Decloud back there. lol
