Suspension for guys that are detrimental to the game on the field seems like another lifetime ago.  Goodell is focused on other pursuits.

I think the case against Burfict is a slam dunk for anybody with the power to suspend him who needs evidence

However, Goodell is notoriously slow at fixing certain aspects of things and dirty play is definitely one of them, so besides a fine I don't see this going anywhere.

I think if anyone could set things straight it would be the Bengals themselves taking action. The front office of the Bengals organization should come right out and say they are benching him a couple of games or more. Bypass the NFL ranks completely. It would be the proper thing to do and reflect on them very highly as a team with solid integrity.
