Ron Rivera: "Greg will be here at the right moment/appropriate time"

Let him take 6 games off.. If, big if, he's found guilty, then it's time served. He has already done the suspension. He comes back for Seattle, "free & clear". Can they suspend more than he's already done? Sure, but the argument is clear... Let the man play, he's gettin paid.......... Goodells got his cut too, I'm sure.....

This whole situation confuses me. I thought first time domestic violence was going to be 6 games now. His time is almost up regardless as to whether he is found guilty or innocent. So why is everyone assuming they are going to keep him suspended indefintely?

I really don't see the NFL allowing Greg to come back w/o some form of suspension... they caught way too much flack over the Rice incident to not at least do something...

He's already suspended and made inactive by the team. He's already served one game short of what the NFL claims to be deemed on first DV conviction.

because they love the worse case scenario... it energizes them... I don't know what part of "will be back" they don't understand... the panthers were playing him in spite of the charges, thus nothing has changed but the media forced us to sit him until a time of justification hence 6 week or trial. morons

Greg is on the list "voluntarily". If he demands his job back and the league declines he can seek legal action. But that's not a good look for him with no long term contract.

My understanding is that he had choices and he chose the exempt list (no brainer since it involves him getting paid.) I don't think you can just put yourself on the exempt list. And my understanding is it is the commissioner's call although the amount of say that JR has in all of this is debatable.

I'm also not sure what you would sue for if he demands his job back. Unless he can find that the CBA was violated it would be a short court case.

I'd love for Hardy to come back...but...

1. Imagine the media poo storm (right or not)

2. He's currently collecting checks for doing nothing. His value as a FA is already on the decline because of his legal case. So, why come back, maybe play at a sub-par level or get hurt, and risk it even further?

The only way Hardy comes back (IMO) is if the Panthers are in serious playoff contention towards the end of the year, and JR makes the executive decision that bolstering up for a Super Bowl run is worth the media backlash.

I don't know. I think the media has quieted down.  I think the the public is exhausted by that topic.  There might be a few little blurbs if we brought him back, but I don't think there would be anything substantial.

Has to be next week. As important as the Bengals game and Packers game are, home games against the defending champs and hated who dats are infinitely more so. They already put us behind the 8 ball in getting a first round bye in this retarded decision, I just refuse to believe that we'll allow them to sabotage $13.1 million and our entire season which for all we know could be the year we win our first Lombardi before big contracts upcoming.
