Ron Rivera: "Greg will be here at the right moment/appropriate time"

Does anyone think that missing these games would serve as a proactive suspension in the wake of being found guilty? i realize that the trial will most likely take place after the season so it wont matter but im just trying to predict what would happen.

He's still getting paid so I'm not sure.

No. Just like AP, if he is found guilty and given anybody including probation he will serve another suspension on top of whatever he serves in the meantime.

People keep looking too much into Rivera's words.

Appropriate time = after his trial is over with and when he is permitted to return.

Nothing more, nothing less. Hardy isn't coming back until his trial is finished.

he won't be under contract when his trial is over. This is gonna take time. So IMO it looks like the heat is dying down.

Realistically, the way this team is playing....8 wins should be the goal.  Green Bay, Seattle, New Orleans (poo or not, still have Brees).

Hardy?  Not happening.  His case will get pushed back and he wont play for this team again.

I'd love for Hardy to come back...but...

1. Imagine the media poo storm (right or not)

2. He's currently collecting checks for doing nothing. His value as a FA is already on the decline because of his legal case. So, why come back, maybe play at a sub-par level or get hurt, and risk it even further?

The only way Hardy comes back (IMO) is if the Panthers are in serious playoff contention towards the end of the year, and JR makes the executive decision that bolstering up for a Super Bowl run is worth the media backlash.

First of all, the Panthers already are hated by the media. It's not like we would be destroying our good press. Secondly, he should want to come back to try and up his stock for future teams if he wants the money he is looking for. I agree though, Richardson will not do that.

I think now would actually be the perfect time to bring Hardy back. The social justice warriors are busy celebrating the legalization of gay marriage in North Carolina and will be too busy doing festivals and rainbow drawing contests to realize the woman-hating NFL has instated one of its wifebeaters.

This is kind of like how Ron keeps telling us every week how a certain player will play that weekend but then they don't. He either has no idea what hes talking about or hes being intentionally misleading for some reason.

Might have something to do with the guys on the other side of the field

You say this with the tone that people who are for equality and fair human rights are the ones who are to blame.
