3 frame look at Burfict ankle twist

The thing that probably irks me the most was Marvin Lewis being asked about it....

Reporter asked him about it. He laughed it off like it was absurd....claiming it sounded like someone was talking about the WWF. You then hear the reporter chime back to him "yeah, that IS what it looked like". Lewis' grinning slowly faded and you could tell he was done talking about it.

Give Ron credit. Good or bad....Ron really does bluntly address most things honestly. Same may bring up well he is vague with Hardy but vague is honest bc he has no clue what they can do

That's where the silence came from. The reporters thought he would say something else, the reporter called him on it, then awkward silence. He didn't realize iit was a big thing, or it wasn't to him.

Maybe Marvin Lewis should sit out for a week so he has time to ponder this.

Lewis is the reason why Burfict is a Bengal to begin with.

During his rookie season, the story came out that Lewis had gone to then Bengals DC Mike Zimmer to talk about picking up Burfict.  Zimmer's answer was a loud 'hell no'.  He didn't want any part of that.  But Lewis ultimately made the decision and Zimmer agreed to give it his best coaching effort, which he did.

Zimmer's in Minnesota now, and Lewis isn't the disciplinarian that his former DC is.

So here we are.

    • Film Room Playlist _ NFL Pro — Mozilla Firefox 2024-11-25 10-20-11.mp4 🎯🎯🎯 There were a couple of "fans" yesterday saying that this wasn't a helmet-to-helmet shot... 👀 Looks like based on where Moore was and where the play ended, he'd have gotten maybe just a yard or two more. Chuba was downed at the KC 16 and Moore was on his way back to the QB, so the offense got what they could for the most part. After reviewing the all-22, Bryce made the right call here. Tremble was the hot and KC sent both LBs. He gets it out with a clear pocket but it's quickly collapsing. If there was a little more time it looked like AT came free at the end but whether or not Bryce would've been upright still is another story. Smart move to get the completion and keep the field goal in play to stay alive. George Karlaftis is about to get himself a big ole hug and Bryce heaves it to where David Moore is going. Trent McDuffie slipped just a step or two before this shot, but we can see the clear DPI here as he's wrapped around David Moore before knocking him over as the ball gets there.
    • I’m taking a TE early day 3 Ian Thomas and Tremble are FA.  We should have no desire to bring them back.   There’s more than enough film of ball bouncing off their hands or facemask.
    • Daniel Jones sometimes would sling it for 300 or 400 yards.  That's my stance.  We know what Bryce is.  If you consistently play any QB at this level, they largely are going to end up w/ some good days/games.  last time Mahomes was at BOA, Teddy Bridgwater threw for 300+ yards and a couple TDs and the Matt Rhule Panthers almost took him down.  We know what Bryce is.  Now we got people predictably falling into a predictable trap.
