Not an overreaction: Velasco > Amini

So far he has not been worth a 2nd round pick. But he is still a young man. He has a long career ahead of him. May never be worth a 2nd but I still think he can be a starter for us going forward.

 

I just haven't seen anything out of Amini that makes me feel like he can be a quality starter for us long-term.  I don't think he looks a bit better than he did as a rookie.

I can't think of one Hurney pick that's doing something significant to help us win this season. And before people say Cam, Rivera is the one who scouted Cam and told Hurney to draft him. When I say significant I mean making game changing plays consistently

I guess every draft pick except the one two years are doing crap out there huh. Thomas Davis  ryan K and all of them are just terrible.

I was really hoping Amini would work out, but he looks like one of those big fish in a small pond type prospects. Dominated against far inferior competition in college and it's just not translating to the NFL.

I think it's a no brainer.

We gave up zero sacks yesterday when Cam threw 46 passes. You have to strongly consider starting the combination that held in the trenches.

We should have picked Cordy Glenn.  Glenn was a first round talent who fell into the second, and we passed over him to draft a guy who didn't even play division I football?  It was the same thing with Kugz, but at least Kugz was a later round pick.  It's a travesty that you draft division II or division III guys to protect your franchise QB and to open up lanes for your aging running backs.  Then put an undrafted guy as your starting left tackle?  I could have gotten Cam better guys to protect him in my sleep.
