I think what irks me more with the playcalling is not passing up the 4th and 1 in OT, but the fact that we seem to constantly, and I mean CONSTANTLY, run routes that are a yard or two short of the sticks. What's the point of that? I can't tell if it's the play design or a rookie mistake by KB, but if he takes an extra two steps, or if Cam hangs on for another 1-2 seconds, that slant is a first down.

 

I also hate that our defense is so bad now. I mean, yes they had two turnovers, but holy fug, if you put up 37 points (30 without the long Cason INT return) on the road, you should absolutely fuging win the game. Our DST is a fuging mess this season. To go up 31-24 and then immediately give up a 97-yard kick return is inexcusable. We could easily be an great team, but our mistakes seem to be more mental than anything else. It's frustrating.

We play GB and Seattle now, we needed a W today and Rivera decided to piss it away. This guy continues to shoot the team in the foot in close situations.

Very accurate. Ron Rivera is a great coach Monday-Saturday that is completely worthless on Sundays. Riverboats at random, throws red flags at random, uses/does not uses timeouts at random. He still has no clue what he's doing during the game. Good at motivating the guys, good at gameplanning, has less situational awareness than your average Madden player.

One of the less educated things I've read on this board in a while. Ron won 12 games last year and has this team in first as of now. Is he the perfect coach? Absolutely not? But to say he is worthless on Sundays is laughable. The truth of the reality is this team is in trouble with the cap and until that gets fixed there is not much more he can do with what he has. But sure lets all just pretend he is worthless on Sundays instead.

this thread is why i stayed off the normal gameday thread. you are all nuts if you think we should fire our head coach after a tie against one of the best teams in the league. i thought the playcalling was pretty good overall today. 

 

if you want to blame someone, blame Gano, the ST, the defense, Jerricho Cotchery, and Kelvin Benjamin for all missing their opportunities. 

 

RR is doing the best he can with the execution given and if you all cant see that, then you are all fuggin blind and hopeless as Panthers fans.

Yeah, whenever I get ticked about our player talent (signings, etc.), I remind myself that Getts is digging out of Hurney-Hell.  I will be happy when he gets another draft in + has some $ to spend 'wisely' to boost the team.

I am sure u watched the game right? It's not even just about Cam. If this team's only chance of going far in this league is playing mistake free football, they are in trouble because we all know that is not going to happen. 

 

This team is not only killing their QB but, every talented play on it's roster. And u wonder when they get cut or leave they play better else where. When are some of u fans going to wake up and demand more from EVERYONE, not just Cam.
