Really? Fire rivera?

You play to win. A tie is a loss in my books.

People that are ok with the tie are most likely the same kids that lived for the orange slices and juice boxes at halftime during sports games when a little kid.

Anyone who's competitive is not ok with a tie.

You still look bad complaining about a tie. Seriously...

And please don't use the "Anyone who's competitive" argument, of course they would have rather won the game.  But this is the result of this game, take it and move on because that's exactly what the players and coaching staff are gonna do.

don't the Falcons bucs and saints each have at least 3 losses already?

So its logical to think the Panthers can go 13-2-1 as he proposed, but its somehow unfair to imagine another team could get on that same kind of a roll?

Hell, if we're gonna go crazy with our imaginations, lets go crazy!

This was the Buffalo game from last year except the kicker missed the chipshot at the end.  You pumpers can give old Ron all the reacharounds you want, it doesn't make up for the fact he was a quota hire for the league (since that is where JR's loyalty is) and he is a mediocre HC at best.

If the panthers managed to go 13-2-1, that's 2 more losses for the Saints and Falcons, and 1 for Tampa.

At this point, I'd be okay with the firing of rivera. I seriously doubt it will happen. I don't think we can win a super bowl with him as HC.

But, it's not because of just this game. His challenge win rate is atrocious. His putting players in the doghouse confuses me. His record after a bye is also mind blowingly horrible.

Rivera's your typical up and down NFL Coach.

He's not good. Just barely average or below average. He's just not sharp.

Last year was his career year. But you wouldn't be surprised if he (which he already has), or the team fell back this year.

Lucky for him, the division sucks; therefore he may still have a chance to make the playoffs.

I agree with this.

So, you have to ask yourself, are you okay with being mediocre? I think last year's record was an anomaly.

I feel like Rivera could be this generation's Norv Turner. A coach who always seems like his teams were going to be great, only to have them fall apart for some reason or other. And now Norv is a coordinator again.

Norv is one.

He also reminds me Jim Schwartz, formerly the coach of the lions. And Jason Garret of the cowboys.

These are guys that underachieve with their teams, and barely keep their jobs. But if they hang around long enough, luck of the draw will make them see a good year eventually.

Ultimately, as you're stating; they're coordinator's first (who don't see the big picture and make the hard decisions) instead of Head Coaches!

Technically because we tied we're right above the mediocre threshold.  If we lost...we'd be mediocre. Right now....we're barely decent.  Which is much better then mediocre.

Don't lie....we all celebrated when that fugger missed.
