Best BBQ in NC located right here in Charlotte

That was probably one of the other Bridges.  I'm talking the Lodge one off 74.  Always stopped there when I would go to Cashiers/Glenville/Asheville growing up.  

 

They have vinegar based slaw.  

 

 

I don't want any of whatever that is.

Did any of you happen to go to the Eastern NC BBQ Throw down in Rocky Mount this weekend? A couple hundred BBQ choices from all over the east coast. This was year 7 and it's getting bigger every year.

I grew up with Lexington barbecue. But I don't like the red slaw.

16 hour smoke, 2 hour rest. homemade sauce, homemade slaw.

To each his own.  I really don't like ketchup or overly tomato things because of my Crohn's and have never found Bridges Lodge to overdue it IMO.  To each his own.

I had Sauceman's at the bears game from the truck at the dogpound. Wasn't overly impressed but it wasn't bad...

I'm in Wilson and didn't know about it. My husband  caters for a bbq restaurant and he never said anything about it. They need to advertise better. Me and the kids would have probably gone if we'd known about it, even though we're pretty much sick of bbq.

Anyone who goes to Lexington for BBQ then goes to Lexington Barbeque is a fool.

 

The best BBQ in Lexington is Smokey Joes or Lexington Style Trimmings.  Yet, people flock to Lexington for good BBQ and fail to realize the best places.  Hell, even the BBQ festival is a joke.  They take BBQ from all the restaurants and mix it together then throw it on a patty.

I like reds sauce on chicken or pork chops. A dry rub is good, too.

I watched Pitmaster Championship and they had people from all over but Sauceman's BBQ won it.

I took my wife yesterday to Souceman's and it's indeed the best BBQ I have ever tested. Anyone had the opportunity to eat there yet?
