Lacuna Coil right now is more hard rock than metal. Yeah Nightwish can be considered that.

I don't know any of those bands but years ago I liked Drain STH, just watched a bunch of their videos on youtube recently. I guess they were more kind of grunge metal. Too bad they broke up, they had a good heavy sound. Singer is currently married to Tommy Iommi.

Bout to say how in the blue hell do you leave out nightwish.Especially back when Tarja was the head.

However, Nightwish has just gotten Floor Jansen as their lead singer. Their 3rd one. She was singer of After Forever and current singer for ReVamp. I would give their next album a listen. Floor is a great singer.
