Charlotte is home and he was afraid it would be hard to stay outta trouble with his old friends.

That's a big part of why he didn't sign here and Gman thought it was a better spot for him in Indy.

Player A has 17 catches for 141 yards and 2 TDs this season (in 6 games)

Player B has 16 catches for 204 yard, no TDs this season (in 4 games)

Player C has 12 catches for 132 yards and 1 TD this season (in 5 games)

Player A is Nicks, Player B is Cotchery, Player C is Avant. Nicks makes about double what Cotchery and Avant make together for the record.

Don't want, don't need.  He had his opportunity to be a #1 for us, turned it down, we moved on and now in the future, I don't see room on our roster for him.  We'll draft a speedy guy in the middle rounds last year, KB is our #1 for the forseeable future and Cotch will remain as our savvy vet.  If we spend money on anyone in the offseason it will be for Lineman (or atleast I pray).

His problem is he lost some of his speed. He can't seperate. He has the speed of Kelvin with less size and strength. No thanks

Michael Irvin, Marvin Harrison, and Jerry Rice also had multiple 1000 yard seasons.

 

Just because you have had a 1000 yard season, doesn't mean it can be duplicated.

In my opinion, Nicks certainly has some skill as a WR but his heart and head is in his pocket book and not on the playing field. I believe he views playing football strickly as a business and has no burning desire to put forth the effort that is required to succeed in the NFL as a # 1 WR.

Again he wanted a place to showcase his skills and cash in next year. He was scared of getting doubled here and choose indy cause he thought that's his best chance at putting up big numbers. Finally to add, hicks has a problem with his neck, the giants knew about so I'm sure dave knows too. That's the story and its looking like panthers are fine without him even at 3.5 mill for what's he's putting on the field. Right now he's not worth 4x of avants play. I wanted him too and thought avant would be cut before the season(resign week 2 so no gurantte moneyz). But that's looking wrong and hicks isn't getting paid given his current production.

If we signed Hakeem Nicks this offseason we probably wouldn't have drafted KB, him signing with the Colts was a blessing in disguise for us.
