I would just like to point out the 2005 Panthers made it to the NFL Championship with mostly scrub RB's.

No we didn't. Deshaun Foster was in his prime.  He was an early 2nd round pick.  He got hurt at the end of the Chicago game then we got owned by Seattle because we had 0 rushing attack.  Remember when we made the SB?  We had pretty good rb's then.

Yeah because our passing game opened up the running game.  Without the passing our run game sucked.

No.  We beat the Bears in the divisional game on the legs of Deshaun Foster.

When we beat the Giants in the wildcard Foster ran for 151 yards.

Smitty did have a big game against the Bears, but losing Foster that year cost us a shot at winning the NFCCG.

Lol.  We drafted a safety, an OG, and a CB last year but no one wants to give them time to develop before they want to draft new ones.

i'm talking about 1st round talent safety, cb, olineman.

i'm good with the guards even thought i think amini has been a dumpster fire. he has the talent to get better though.this is really only his second season.

Just my honest opinion.  Our D has done fine without a first round safety.  It's more important that we keep the pass rush and front 7 strong.  I'd rather have another LB next year then a safety.

Foster was also a 2nd round pick.

Early second.

It doesn't matter.  BPA is BPA.  Where a guy is drafted doesn't really matter.  What matters is, is the guy that we draft can play.  Gurley can play.  I'd love it if he would be there in the second.  But he's not.  There are good OT's all over the league that weren't first round guys.

Seriously I could keep going to the past ten years but the eye test says that maybe 1 or 2 of those first round draft picks have been worth it (homer glasses off). The leauge has shifted (just like it does every 10-15 years with schemes and rules changing) that RB's arent valued like they once were. Todd Gurley could be the next AP, or he could be like the other 15 first round draft picks since 2008.

People can get mad at the NCAA all they want about the hypocrisy of their rules (and trust me I agree, its stupid for the most part) but how many players have been in the news the past twenty years for breaking the same rule? Gtfo if you think these star players aren't getting helped some way for money if they need it so why start signing autographs now? Just wait 2-3 years till you declare then do it. Just fuging wait so you wont mess up your college career and your potential draft status

This. I like Gurly but would love him if he fell to the 20s. We can get performance in Rd 4 anyway.
