Been watching as many highlights of this guy as I can, and I'm not overly impressed yet.

Brandon Jacobs ish to me, but not as thick.

Personally I don't care about power and size as much in the NFL as I do about vision, and burst.

Give him to me in the 4th.....maybe.

Want vision an burst? Go watch Melvin Gordon cut ups/highlights. He's fun to watch.

You could say the same thing about safety, or we could just give first round money to second round talent at Tackle or CB.  CB's and Safety's aren't even the focal point of our defensive scheme.

This is why.  RB's have the best transition rate when it comes to being effective out of college.  With the rookie cap, we won't be breaking the bank for him and  Gurley instantaneously makes us much better on offense.  Gurley is the one RB that you would do it on.  I'm telling you....the guy is like Marshawn Lynch.

It's a big contract extension that you want to stay away from.

RB's have the best transition rate?????? WHAT? Here are the top 1st rd RBs in the past decade.

I think ppl are freaking out over him because of the Clemson game. He's more athletic than Jacobs for sure though.

I don't even care about the suspension. You draft this guy instead of a talented cb, safety or olineman and he's gonna suck for a few years until we get the oline fixed which may take 2 more years.

It would be a pointless pick from a positional and money standpoint. Then in top of that his confidence would be shot after running behind this line

WR need someone to play opposite KB.  Prefer a speedy YAC receiver.

yes i know,  but we cant ignore our lack of depth and long term solutions at those positions.  kalil isnt going to last forever either but thats a diff time.  wr will and should be addressed through f/a.  of course this is just guessing and we have to live with whatever the f/o decides to do but imo its crystal clear we can't ignore it anymore.  my post was slightly sarcastic but in truth i wouldnt be mad if the draft ended up that way.

You can't build by going the lazy BPA route. You plug guys into YOUR system. That way you never reach for a player.

I have said it for years. Patriots and Pitt and Ravens always replace a younger version of the guy they let go.

Then there is the best fit. A player may struggle with one team and thrive with another. Chemistry. Coaching. Good locker room etc can be what some players need.

The league is more rb committee than ever because of the short lifespan of a rb. Plus it's cheaper that way.

I would be happy if we doubled down on OT.  Think OG is in good shape and like you said Kalil wont be around forever but he has a few more years.
