how would yall feel if we drafted him in the first round? hes the boobie miles of modern day football. he can run , he can catch like a w.r , he can return and he can pass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i think he would make our offense dominate , of course we would have to atleast draft 1 tackle later on but its all about bpa and no rush to get a oline we are about 5 years removed to becoming an elite team like we were during the cardiac cats.

Doing a little research comparing teams , we are lacking in a whole oline besides center, a 2,3rd wr, safetys ,corners and a rb

Umm an elite team has more than 1 winning season in a row. See the Patriots. We have never been elite. We have had a good year.

Every year, I hear that about some college player. Player x is a guaranteed future hof. Sometimes people are wrong, sometimes they are right. Gurley may indeed be that good, or he may just look good because the team around him has so much talent. If Gurley is the best player available when we get a pick, then perhaps we will take him. But if he really is that good, he is unlikely to be available when we get to pick, unless we go on a significant losing streak.

Star was that good when we picked outside the top ten. Every one said luke was the safest bet in the draft and he was there at 9 Kb showing himself to be the best wr in his class was there at 28. That argument if they are really good they won't be there is weak. There are hundreds of guys teams are looking at for different reasons.

I am not really sure what your point is.  I am not saying there won't be good players available when we pick.  But if the poster I quoted is correct about Gurley being the best in several years, or if the other teams believe he will be the next Adrian Peterson, then he certainly will not be available in the spots that I hope we will be picking from.

Benjamin was projected to be a late first early second round pick and he was.  Luke was projected to be a top 10 pick and he was. If we had had a later pick, Luke would be playing for another team.   If memory serves, Star had medical concerns.

They said Trent was the next AP and he has been a massive bust. There has been a league wide devaluing of the RB position so teams arent going to be investing high draft picks into guys that they can get comparable talent to later. He will most likely be there in the first where ever we are.

Well, if the running back position has been devalued, and next years class will be as deep as some are saying, maybe we should wait till the second round and get someone like Yeldon or Mike Davis.

Gettleman has only been here for two drafts, and both have been very good and maybe even outstanding. You can't put Furney's asinine drafting procedures on him.

more of the same as far as addressing OL and DB specifically CB. It doesn't matter how long G-man has been here. Again G-man or not, BPA has not addressed our problems at OL and CB.

It has addressed problems at DL and WR. If Hardy never plays here and/or CJ is a cap casualty then DE is a problem. He has also used multiple picks on OL and secondary.

Over the past two years you could make an argument that there was a need at almost every position on the field except for maybe QB, LB, and RB.

5 years of waiting for upgrade at CB. Picks didn't equal upgrade.
