The two loses on our record this year had some very untimely breaks and bad calls contributing to our loses. Not enough to make a trend.

What about Arizona and New Orleans last year? Ever since Ron Rivera transformed (week 3 last year) we've only lost 5 games. All by 13 points or more.

I think we run into a buzz saw on Sunday. The bengals are a matchup nightmare for the panthers and have a strong HFA. I expect this game to go the route of the steelers and ravens game.

I hope I'm wrong and will gladly welcome the

opposite result of that.

I think we match up pretty well with Cincinnati. Greens injury is going to make them rely more on their rushing attack, and if our defense plays like our defense, that could bode well for us.

Cincinnati's pass defense is not all that great, and given our injuries in the backfield, the Bengals are weak where we need them to be.

If the O-line can give Cam just enough time to find the open reads, we should be able to move the ball pretty well on Cincinnati.

Are we playing an AFC team? Is Hardy still "suspended"? Will Cam be able to be Cam with his legs? If the answer to all of these questions is no, I think predicting the Bengals to beat us is a very fair prediction. Not worried though, the schedule lightens up after the next 3 weeks.

Are we playing a 4-3 defense? When is the last time we lost a regular season game to one of those?

Do they have AJ Green? The dude that pretty much single handedly makes the team what it is offensively?

Big picture....the offense shows up each week.

If we win depends on if that pathetic D shows up that just gives opponents huge plays when they have them essentially stopped and should be forcing punts.

We win if our D plays like they can. We lose if they can make easy tackles and do dumb poo.....bc Cam is good enough when the D isn't sucking.

The only wildcard is Philly Brown. He could screw us. Bengals have legit ST. and he is a huge liability

Aside from the New Orleans game they were all played pretty close they score lines are very deceiving. Not much of a trend

the bengals are a top 3 team in this league… we are not even top 10. they have every right to predict large win margins.

yup.  this team is no joke even though the pats crushed them.  i will be very surprised if we win, although aj green being out could be huge

I have no clear cut on this. I only have seen Cincy when they played the Pats.

If we stack the front seven and force them to air it out, then we have a shot.

You seem to forget one thing. When we lose, we lose bad. Ever since Riverboat was born we earthier win or lose via a blowout.

That's my point.

And it's not just a few teams blowing people out. It's a good chunk of the nfl. We could come out and blowout the Bengals for all we know.

The patriots got blown out and come right back to blow the Bengals out the week after.

As I've been saying, I'm only referring to the Riverboat ERA. Not the Ron Rivera ERA.

Since week 3 of last year, we've had losses of 16, 18, 13, 18, and 28. All losses of double digit points. Every single game decided by a single position since week 3 last year we have won. I'm not sure why you decided to bring 2012 into this discussion.

Just for clarity also, week 3 last year is when Ron Rivera stopped being a pussy and became Riverboat Ron. Hopefully you all know that though....
