Boston (IMO) was a guy at Carolina able to make a spectacular play, and then follow it up with a couple bad ones. Very hit or miss player, and like UNC's secondary in general the last few years, poor tackling/coverage, but thrived as a big play guy. As usual, if our DL pressures the QB, he could thrive. If the QB has time, he's going to be abused. When he sees the field that is.

I'd love if he could contribute this year, but I have to have doubts that a rookie who has missed as much time as he has is going to be able to do much this season. I had a love/hate relationship with him as a UNC fan, but to be fair, it was tough to really tell when he made a mistake individually because the overall secondary was just so damn bad. One thing's for sure, the kid is a ball hawk who can cover ground.

As others have mentioned, most of the "UNC homer" talk comes from state fans who are honestly more UNC haters than state fans. All they can see is UNC in everything. Inferiority complex is real.
