"Wide receiver is not a problem" [Phrase should be banned]

yeah but Harvin's role in SEA has mostly been limited to jet sweeps and handing him the ball from the backfield and you should wonder why.

Play to your QB's and your team's strength.  Keep 'em guessing and off balance.  And, let's not forget who the Hawks picked with their first pick of the draft.

I never said they were the same. I said they were different but that you can't be so good at run blocking and poo the bed on pass blocking. Chances are you'll be decent but not to the level where you're top in the league in run blocking and last in the league in pass blocking. QB movement within the pocket also contributes to pocket integrity.

Greg Robinson is a perfect example. Rams drafted him because most thought he could come in and be a dominant LT. Turns out he couldn't pass block against NFL caliber ends but can use his raw athleticism and maul people in run blocking which is why they moved him in to play LG.

I love threads like this. Folks will go on and on about how so and so player gets crazy hate, but in another thread will go on and trash the Dallas Cowboys, Patriots, Colin K, or Tom Brady.

Anyways, going back to the original topic. I think we need one more WR; a guy who can beat opposing defenses deep, but our main focus needs to be on the OL. I think we'll use this upcoming draft mainly on the defense again, though. Again, sad.

There are individual examples but I'm talking collectively as an oline. The whole oline unit cannot be that far apart where they are dominating during run blocking and cannot amass block to save their lives. I'm saying Wilson being skittish in the pocket greatly exaggerates SEA online woes.

I'm not disagreeing with you at all. What Wilson does makes him great and it's working for them. I was giving my observations of him as a pocket passer. Interestingly Pete Prisco wrote two separate articles documenting similar.

It's not necessarily about FA, but watching who becomes available (or may become available), Like You said, you can't fix everything in an offseason. But, you can take a chance on some fliers if and when they become available.

I would have signed T.J. Graham when he was cut for example.

Meh, I wouldn't want him on the team over Philly Brown or Bersin.

Sorry I guess I misunderstood what you were saying. I don't think Wilson is skittish in the pocket he just performs better from outside the pocket. Even if he had a beast pass blocking line I would imagine he would still flee the pocket because that is where he excels.

This entire thread just makes me laugh.

The WR on this team are better than the ones we had last year, period.

There are far more glaring problems than WR right now.

And who really gives a flying fug about Andrew Luck? He is a decent QB. I have watched him play, and he makes mistakes just like every one else. My only problem is when they try to say that he is a good runner...I watched him scramble last night, and it looked like Peyton Manning all over again.

It seems to me that the only people who brought up Andrew Luck are the same people who say everyone else talks about him too much.

I personally am glad we have Cam instead of the Geico Caveman. That neck beard is just horrible.

Yes..  Luck is perfect and never makes any mistakes.       He is also the best running qb in the league and is  currently better than Peyton was last season in the middle of his badass season.

Every WR he plays with has the potential to be a 2k yard WR.

Cam sucks compared to Luck.

Am I doing it right?    Am I doing the nut gobbler routine correctly?
