Can I spin this question another way for everyone, includiing ProFore...

If you switched Keuchly for Watt on this team what would the difference be?  In this scheme, probably a lot.  But, overall, Watt would add a lot to this team and more then Keuchly does currently.  I don't know enough about the Panthers depth but I know they could get a serviceable MLB if necessary.

Luke Keuchly allready has 61 tackles through 5 games and thats huge for no more than we have invested.the Texans on the other hand have alot invested in JJ Watt and rightfully so,but he has only has 4 sacks through 6 games.btw, these two positions are pretty hard to compare since they have seperate functions on the football field, so from a finical standpoint,i think you get way more bang for ya buck with Keuchly

My pick would be Luke because of everything he brings to the organization (talent, football IQ, leadership, determination, community, etc.). The scary thing is I think Luke's play will develop much further...Watt is great at all that stuff too, but he is closer to his ceiling than Kuechly.

Watt reminds me of what Pep could have been here if he actually loved playing football.

How long are we talking?

2 years, give me Watt.

8 years, give me Luke.

Watt is the most disruptive player since Reggie White, the man is a man out there.  Luke is great, but he plays MLB, DE's that can do what Watt can do (almost none in the history of the league) are very very tough to find.

JJ Watt has 4 sacks after 6 games and Mario Addison has the exact same amount with one less game under his belt but Keuchlys 61 combined tackes stand alone at #1

Watt 3 tds lol

I would love to have a front seven of:

JJ KK Star Hardy for DL

Wagner Luke TD for LB

Andy Dalton had 33 passing touchdowns last year and Cam only had 24.  Dalton is better than Cam, right?  It's pretty hard to explain things to people who either dont watch other teams play or just dont understand most of the nuances of football.  just easier to go read one stat line and try to make a point with it.

Luke Kuechly is a very good football player that plays an entirely different position than JJ Watt, this is like comparing apples and oranges, there is nothing to draw a parallel from unless you are talking DPOY and stats have a huge impact in that decision making process.

Luke is NOT the Peyton manning of defense, please just stop that, it really is selling Peyton short. He's not even the Tom Brady. He may get to that level but he is not on that level right now. The way it's portrayed, his presence alone should amplify a defense up an extra 15 spots. We've seen this year though, he clearly doesn't. His steelers game and Baltimore game. Also three straight touchdowns for chicago?

Why hasn't AJ's game been much better? What about Star or CJ?s Our secondary is still horse manure. For how much better Luke is SUPPOSE to make our defense, he hasn't. The biggest element of that is he hasn't produced a great deal in the way of turnovers. For him to be the "Peyton Manning" of the defense, he'd produce more.

Now he's the best MLB in the league and a deserving DPOY. He likely, if he continues this pace, has a HOF career ahead. He's just so..... good. That destruction of the RB that led to a sack last sunday? Man he's good. Luke is Great. Heaven help our defense IF he wasn't there.

JJ watt? There simply isn't any player close to him that plays defense. It really is incredible how great he is. He is everything that is right about the NFL. Already has one DPOY, probably on his way to his second in his 4th friggen year. Amazing guy.
