You can't fix everything at once on a team when you take it over.  Gettleman chose to take a gamble at OT since he still had two guys that performed well on his line last year.  They have looked horrible and they have looked not so bad.  I repeat, you can't be good at every single spot on a team.  What ever is out there at OT in free agency is trash.  Trash that doesn't know our playbook and will cost money.  I wouldn't sign fodder to appease a message board either.  You can bet he is not trolling us though.

Sometimes I think Gettleman is trolling us by not at least trying out an offensive tackle

I'm telling you it's pride. There is no way it is anything but. He heard the clamors all offseason for OL, and he wanted to be right. And by golly if it kills us, if it ruins our season, Cam Newton himself will line up as his own LT if he has to, Gettleman is not going to give even the slightest indicator that he may have been wrong.

But by all means lets add another worthless defensive linemen to the mix.

New England added an OT to their practice squad today. Apparently there are guys out there worth looking at

Signed one guy to the Practice Squad and dropped another.

Practice squad's a far cry from starting though.

(unfortunately, maybe not as far a cry on our team as it is on some others)

Rivera said in a press conference they are happy with the backfield, no new backs hired. I do question not bringin in more depth at oline tho, but from what i hear there is not much to

Pick from. And if thats true and they cant find no one better than what we have that would be a scary thought bringing in a new face not knowing the system to throw out there.

It is possible that new England puts heavy importance on protecting Brady so they keep a constant supply of young OT prospects rotating in and out of the practice squad. Not a bad strategy really.

Traded Mankins though.

And here ends the "Patriots are geniuses, Gettleman has something to learn" school of thought.

There is nothing out there worth bringing in to look at.  Just because Bellycheat brings in an OT, many of you, some of you I would expect a lot more out of, start spouting off about "If the Patties are doing it...we sure as hell should be, because they know so much more than we do."

Really?  How have they done since they got caught cheating?  They evaluate young talent better than we do?  Really?

I'll leave this here.
