Does Hardy come back after 6 games?

It is and we have no recourse.

Which is why I was wondering why posters were putting this on Gettleman/JR.

I don't get why people blame the team at all.

It was pretty clear in the presser that they had no intention of doing anything to Hardy until his trial was resolved one way or the other.  But it was just too much of a black eye for the league with everything else going on so they stepped in.

Nope.   He will be suspended with pay until the jury trial is over,  and then,  if guilty,  he will be suspended for 6 games without pay.    If the jury trial is postponed or it takes a while.. he could realistically be out of football for a couple years.

if there is even a little bit of fire causing all this smoke, and considering our history with carruth and our desire to seperate ourselves from that as much as possible, you could hardly blame the panthers from wanting to distance themselves from hardy, even if what he has done (or even alleged to have done) is nowhere near the degree that carruth took it. it's self preservation and knowing that this team can win without him will make that decision easier if it's the decision they feel needs to be made.

They'd get crucified. The only reason he got suspended in the first place is because the media didn't convey it was a bench trial. The media would portray it all over again as Jerry bringing back a player who was found "guilty" even tho we all know that's not the case and that his situation is no different than Ray McDonald out in SF. Who is getting zero coverage...
