Philly Brown....

Am I remembering this play wrong? I'm fairly certain he did call for a fair catch on that play but he got hit before the ball got to him anyway.

Play was right in front of me.  Did not see him call for fair catch and sis not see it on replays.   The defender interfered with his ability to catch the ball...actually hit him before the ball got there.  He should have called for a fair catch on that one.

On the backbreaking TD in the Pitt game, he muffed the punt, picked it up, and then fumbled all in the same play. Dude has put the ball on the ground a lot.

That was a back breaking play.  Changed everything. RR believes in him as he in not in his doghouse.

not worried, like most huddlers, he has potential and will get coached up. I hope he kicks some butt against the "vaulted "special teams of the Bengals...we're  freakin 5 games into the season, it isn't like the Panther's have had a great return game in the past.

now RB's would be an issue...

I am not saying that Philly isn't a likable guy and hard worker, but I'm loath to get on the Philly bandwagon. Philly is electric on the one hand, but he is shaky on the other.  Sure we see the great potential, but we also see the great downfall. That's a shame.

I hate punts period. More potential for bad than good. The league just needs to do away with them. I propose if you force a 4th down, let the opposing team automaticially take over at their own 35 (unless the offense chooses to go for it ofcourse) Just think about it. Its rare you get big yds or a TD from returns anyway, and when you finally do, a majority of a time it comes back because of a "illegal block in the back" penalty. I think the league should just do away with punts period

you should write a book of great ideas

I don't think he is at all timid from talking with him. Quite the opposite

As a therapist, I have seen hundreds of cases where people say one thing and their actions show another.  I wouldn't tell a reporter that I was scared or timid either. This is a case where insider information isn't going to help your case.  I remember talking to Armanti Edwards and he said he wasn't timid when he first got to Charlotte and was fumbling punts.  Quite the opposite.  Later on he said, "yeah bro I was a bit nervous".  "It was a huge stage".
