They list all the reasons why the team is struggling (defense getting gashed by the run game, offensive line not playing well, running backs all hurt) but they're still talking about Cam.  Just goes to show he will forever have a target on his back until he wins a Superbowl.

Or "the defense won it for him" bullsh*t. I just don't get it. Russell Wilson (even though I like him a lot) gets ALL the credit for every single win they have even though he has one of the best supporting casts in the league. Cam wins with no O-line, RB, etc. but they always say it's our defense that won it. Just this past Sunday they posted our win against Bears with a "Defense leads Panthers to victory" heading. Pathetic.

Most people wanted Cam to fail... now people are trying to double down in their hate.  There's only one way for it to go away, and that's for him to lead us to the promised land. 

 

 

Cam is meeting every challenge, and people are panicking.  He is doing exactly the opposite of what many were hoping and betting that he would do.  For every criticism Cam is facing them head on and destroying them.  These unfair critics are making him a better player. 

 

I too hate hearing it, becuase I am jealous of the love that some of the QBs get, that Cam deserves, like Wilson, Luck... hell every QB gets more love than Cam.  But, I take much satisfaction in Cam's success, whether they admit it or not, when you have to nitpick with a microscope to criticize, it's troubling. 

 

I just want people to admit that they don't like Cam becuase he's Cam, and becuase he isn't "perfect" since no one is, that's the only true justfication for all the hate.  I love our QB, wanted him regardless of who came out, and his success makes me smile.  We get the next decade plus of Cam & Luke and crew.  So lucky.

Basically its a piece done by this sportswriter from NYC with a whiny accent like Ray from Everybody loves Raymond where he's like "let's look at Cam Newton, really good QB, but he's not Superman, I'm just waiting for him to be Superman, I'm just waiting for him to be Superman."

It's like WTF?

Keep in mind that Cam is only 25. When Aaron Rodgers was 25 a lot of people liked to point out he had never won a playoff game. Did the same thing when Rodgers was 26 and the same thing when Rodgers was 27 until he finally won a playoff game (and went on to win the Super Bowl that year). Other than that year Rodgers won the Super Bowl, Rodgers is 1-4 in the playoffs, and went 1-and-done in the playoffs three times.
