I don't like immobile QBs. They can be useless sometimes, leaving so many plays on the field.

Dan Marino and Peyton Manning have most the records though. Vick is on the bench, The Golden Calf of Bristol is out of the league, Culpepper was amazing initially but burned out, Jamarcus Russel was a dud.

Wilson is much smarter than the other running qbs. Because of that he avoids injury and I imagine he'll be able to start and play at a high level well into his 30s unlike a lot of other mobile QBs.

Cam and Kap aren't Wilson. Be nice if they were but they just aren't. Neither are as good in the pocket. Neither have as good of a deep ball. Neither are wise enough to know when to go down and not absorb a hit.

Wilson is a unique talent. Cam and Kap are nothing like him.

How many games will you last playing like this? If Redskins had a good offense they could have made some plays. No wonder Cam is on the mend.

If wilson was luck... he would have 5 td's tonight.... the refs called back 3 of wilsons td's.. cant have the golden calf of bristol mr. luck being outplayed by a so called gamemanager on primetime television...  everyone knows the best qbs under the age of 25 in america are cam, wilson, winston, and luck.... all 4 can run... so the haplo e guy is right when he says immoobile qbs are going the way of the dinosuar... look at college... how many immobile pocket qb prospects are you seeing... the trend is starting from high school, vick revolutionized the game, coaches have begun putting their best athletes at qb and teaching them how to play qb... put Geno Smith on the texans and i bet he would be WAY more successful than he is on the jets... for numerous reasons... the only mobile qb that has no talent is ej manuel

lol cousins is a bum... look at the talent he has on offense and still sucks... didnt he just have 5 turnovers last week againist the gmen

    • Too late to edit above but the quote is from this Diane Russini article in the Athletic: https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5941684/2024/11/23/russinis-what-im-hearing-the-day-the-jets-fell-apart-and-the-broncos-rallied-belichick-best-fits/ Okay.. there you have sorry I left that out the first post.  Also waivers keep the contract intact. That is the major difference in released and waived. It's all in that link from the other post.
    • Okay so I am reading something in The Athletic and it says that Jones had to pass through waivers. So I don't know. I looked this stuff up when we were number one there all offseason and I thought it said 4 years in the league got you vested, as they call it.  Vested gets you out of waivers as I understood it. I probably got something wrong, but when I think about the slack quality of journalism these days I wonder about that. So I went and looked, again. Well, well.  For everyone: "When a player has accrued at least four seasons in the NFL, they are considered a vested veteran. When these vested veterans get cut, they are released and their contract is terminated. When a vested veteran is released, they are an unrestricted free agent that can sign with any NFL team, and the team that released them doesn’t need to provide any additional compensation." It runs it all down here, where the quotes came from: https://www.profootballnetwork.com/waived-vs-released-nfl/ As far as Jones, the team turned down his 5th year option so I knew that meant he had 4 years in, because they re-signed him anyway, after turning down the much cheaper extra year.  The Athletic is owned by the New York Times so I shouldn't be surprised. That paper was an institution once upon a time but they let their standards go.
