One thing really stands out to me, He's had his helmet ripped off twice in two weeks, and a face mask, and didn't once show the slightest ever irritation. I like the attitude.

Darrin Reaves made great strides yesterday as a NFL running back. It probably went unnoticed by the casual fan, but there were things he did that showed real growth. I noticed he wasn't hitting the line as fast, but sometimes that is a good thing.

 

I asked him about it after the game.

 

"I feel like I am being more patient with the run game. I am starting to feel when to burst, when to wait for the hole, things like that."

 

"Just patience" he added.

 

You can credit  RB coach Jim Skipper for Darrin Reaves going from an undrafted free agent to being a capable starter in the NFL.

 

 

 

"He makes sure that even if I know what I am doing, he knows I can do it better." Reaves said about Skipper  "He won't let anyone go out there without knowing what they are doing."

It was good to see our running backs actually have time to be patient, instead of dodging tacklers as soon as they were handed the ball. Hopefully it's not a one week blip and becomes a trend.
