Cam Lost Some of His Wisdom

This is really something the panthers should have known about and pushed off to the offseason or a bye week. Cam is the man and I'm glad he reacted well but it's a complete crapshoot on whether someone reacts well to even a minor surgery. Between infection and anesthesia a lot can get painful and nagging with very minor procedures. Oh well, glad it all worked out.

I read (and retweeted) on Twitter that Cam said it was like getting kicked in the nuts.

I was 16 when mine were cut out. It was like a nut cracking plus being kissed up both sides of the cranium with an aluminum baseball bat. It sucked, had it done Friday morning and I was useless the rest of the day because I needed drugs.

I took it easy over the weekend but I did go back to school the following Monday. I didn't play football, though.

Why does everybody take them out? My whole family has never had their's taken out nor has it bothered them or me. We don't believe in having any kind of surgery unless it is absolutely necessary.

if they're impacted it can cause serious issues

also i'd think dry socket would be a bigger concern for a pro football player than a normal person in this scenario

Changes from person to person, depends how deep the roots are and the proximity of surrounding nerves. I've had buddies that were off their feet for only 12 hours, others 3 days.

Kind of surprised that he got this done, his body could react any which way. He is superman so that helps.
