Did Luke have 75 tackles today?

I think it was mostly his job to take care of Forte after the first half. Did we make an adjustment? I just don't remember him being on him as much earlier. But he shut him down when we really needed it. He had his catches but not many got first downs or even close to moving the chains.

Enough with all these Kuechly every-time-we-win-after-the-game threads. Tackles should only count when it's made in the back field for a lost or no gain. Just like sacks. A DB tackling a WR on a 50 yard completion is not a great play. Tackling the RB after a 10 yard gain should not count as a tackle. The game of defense is about sacks and INTs. Unless there is a score there is a tackle in almost every possession. It's not something rare or difficult to get.

Come on guys, let's pretend we understand the game like those other fan-bases in storied franchises. Even I can fall on top of a pile and get myself a piece of tackle. lol

So tackling an rb for a two yard gain isn't a good play?  What about stopping a guy short of the first down marker on 3rd down?  Tackles are tackles.  I'd like to see you tackle Forte like 10 times in a game.

I got the impression he was told to focus on Forte, that might have been why he blew up Forte's plays so often in the second half.

They obviously changed their defensive game plan at halftime.  Luke and TD were sent on blitzes over and over during the first half, but in the second half, he seemed to shadow Forte and that essentially pulled the Bears teeth

Is this serious?

So Luke having the most tackles since entering the league is a product of him falling on piles?

What about the tackles with 1-2 yard gains, do those not count because they weren't behind the LOS?

Great defenses rush the passer and defend the pass. You don't hear people talking about how many tackles MLBs in Seattle get. You guys make Kuechly sound like a novelty act. Yay, he made a tackle! Come on now. The media use tackle numbers only to hype players up when they have no other things to attribute to them. Enough of this if-we-win-Kuechly-must-have-done-something-great.

All I'm saying is that tackling is just doing your job. INTs, sacks, fumbles are additional things beyond your job. What is a MLB who doesn't tackle? Me, sitting on my couch. What is a DE or CB who doesn't cause turn overs? A football player. Can't keep praising a player for just doing their assignment.

lmao wut

A 1-2 yard gain on 3rd &1 is a 1st down. Anything pass the LOS is his job. Him getting pass the OL and making those tackles behind the LOS is a feat.

You obvious purposely ignored the first questions about Luke leading the league.

Well if anything past the LOS is his "job" then guess what, no one in the NFL does it better or more often than he does.
