Benji is like this. There is some bad with the good. If there wasn't he would have been drafted top 10.

But he can do things that no one else we have ever had can do. And his focus will improve as he gets older and more experienced.

Benji is a weapon. He is a beast. But he is also human and will have bad days

Let's not forget he did draw a pass interference in the endzone which is nearly as good as catching a TD pass.

He'll be just fine.  Probably the most underrated part of his game is his mentality. Not too many players, especially rookies and a WR at that, are as cool and collected as KB. He has a short memory so he doesn't let a bad play get him down. The Detroit game was the epitome of that. A bad drop immediately followed by an unbelievable one handed grab on the sideline.

I can't remember the last time a rookie WR was asked to come in and be the No. 1 from day one. Probably AJ Green was the last. We have a very special player on our hands.

Anyone expecting him not to have a bad game or two is deluding themselves. IMO that fumble wouldn't have been a fumble if someone wasn't underneath him. His knee was down, on top of one of the defensive players, so it couldn't have hit the ground. He made a great catch, wrapped it up, and Frey just made a great play. 9 out of 10 times that's a great catch in traffic and a first down. He does still seem to try to make those fingertip catches, which isn't smart around a DB like Fuller, who's going to challenge every catch. Oh well, I'd be more concerned if this wasn't a teachable moment that Ricky can help him correct.

This thread has been entertaining.  I especially find some amusement in people comparing KB to LaFell.  LaFell never had a game this bad...LOL.  I also find it ludicrous that someone accused someone else of looking at the game through beer goggles and suggesting that "it's Cam's fault." Highly hilarious.

Benjamin had a bad game, no doubt, but I don't think that it would be the correct coaching move to bench him for having a bad game.  He needs to be taught to have his head in the game, and by taking him out you would probably make him more of a headcase.  And then, if you do take him out, then defenses really do have the opportunity to take that second and sometimes third man away that's cheating toward KB and stifle our offensive production somewhere else.  If nothing else yesterday, he was a great decoy.  His scouting reports looked very accurate yesterday (but not to our detriment, thankfully), but have looked highly inaccurate (to our benefit) for the lion's share of September.  I'll take it.

On an off note, a valid threat to take it to the house on the other side would probably help take some pressure off the rookie in my opinion.
