Star has been noteless this season.. I think his lack of production is a huge part of the defensive downfall the last couple weeks.

I haven't seen Star blow up running plays this season, like we were accustomed to seeing last season.  He lived in the backfield last season, even against double teams.  If Star gets going again, I think this defense will only improve as the season goes on.

Especially with the emergence of KK.

Star has been getting double teamed a lot, and in my opinion his effectiveness has indeed suffered because of it.  But I don't think he needs to "get going," I think he's been playing fine.  He's made plenty of plays, both directly and indirectly.  Just in this last game, I think it was on the Bears' first drive, he fired off the snap almost immediately, stuffed the runner at the LOS, hopped up and went to get read for the next play all in the span of about 2 seconds.  The play began and was over about as quickly as I've ever seen a play.  If you watch the D-line, you'll see him redirecting running plays and being the clog that causes a pileup more so than anyone else.  He doesn't play a glamor role like KK, but he's just as effective in the big picture.
