Amari Cooper Segment on College Gameday

No way we pick him. We will get a OT in the first.

If Cooper is there, we will take him!

Ogbuehi is the only OT I'll take over Cooper. Too bad he'll likely be a top2-3 pick.

Two years ago, a college analyst on college game day said Cooper was already a better receiver than AJ Green when comparing their freshman years. Many said Cooper is a better WR than Watkins. Now, Carter is saying he is the best WR to ever play at Bama. And, you're going pass a guy like that up for an OT who you could have in the 2nd? Right.

My dream draft:

(1) Amari Cooper

Hoping he falls down to us. Some projections are having Coates as the top WR right now. Jaelen Strong is rising heavily and has great size. Cooper won't test as great at the combine so some stupid teams may just go with another guy. Dorial GB if enters, could help drop Cooper down too.

DGB will not go before Cooper i don't think because of off field issues. if he is there in 2nd, and the panthers address another need in the 1st, DG has to be running the card up to take DGB. Kelvin and DGB on the outside with Cam throwing........

Lol at gif.

I agree. But, again some stupid teams may rather go with DGB due to size and ceiling. Especially how teams are taking advantage with these big receivers. Without the off field issues, DGB could be the top rated WR. He will probably put up some ridiculous numbers at the combine too.

I would compare him to Eric Ebron #10 pick (different position). Crazy, athletic receiver that will test well at combine. Stock will rise by draft day.

I don't want Beckham no where near this team.  Just go look at his rap sheet.  Marijuana problems, domestic problems.  The guy will end up on the commissioner's exempt list the moment he signs his rookie contract.  I thought yall had enough of that already.

but considering the last incident he was  involved with was a domestic issue, teams will shy away from him. but he was not charged in that and charges were dropped against him in that weed case i believe. Tyrann had some issues, and also got kicked off the team his Jr year. also got locked up while being kick offed, but has kept his nose clean since coming into the league.

i think the weed charge was dropped against him, and he was not charged in the domestic case. he could have changed, and decided to take advantage of the opportunity presented to him. would want him in a panther uni

    • Yes.  And this converts directly to confidence.  Does the coach have confidence to call a deep dig or seam route?  Does Bryce have confidence in his ability to be the Alpha?  Do his teammates have confidence.  About film--when I see Cam Newton's pre-snap confidence vs. Bryce's, it is night and day.   Film--tells you if the WRs are open (why l love watching the Replay telecasts from the end zone cameras--you can see it.  I have seen 2 WRs open and Bryce's eyes are on the outlet WR or the pass rush. )  You can see progressions, and he has improved a bit--but he is very quick to rush through 1 and 2 and checkdown--that is a lack of confidence in his ability to read the defense.  I had a former NFL TE (Deems Maye) who played QB in high school (not sure about college) tell me that the best QBs read the defense by knowing where everyone will be when the ball is to arrive--not where they are.  I think his QB at the time was Humphries.  He said that Humphries would throw the ball into coverage before the cuts etc.  because he understood DB momentum, zone areas, etc.  and he could just see it.  Said so when people say nobody was open, they are usually right because nobody should be "open" when the QB has the ball--when the ball arrives, everyone should be open.  He said Humphries was never "great" but his skills were limited--from a small school--but his ability to read a defense made him never give up on a route.
