We have too many other holes on D to be able to fix in one offseason with no money. We're built to rely on getting pressure on the QB. Hardy is the best at that, if not found guilty we can't afford to let him go. Our entire back end is a mess, and that won't change in one offseason, only way to try and offset that is to bring back Hardy.

But yeah, I know he's most likely a goner. I was fine with letting him go this offseason. I changed my mind after watching the Tampa game.

Hardy will cost us too much to keep.  In all honesty, we should have let him walk during free agency.  We could have brought in Veldheer and Jared Allen, with money to spare. (Could have resigned Mike Mitchell and had him playing alongside DeCoud)  In all seriousness, we probably threw away the season the moment we franchised Hardy.

I wasn't one of them. Drafting a CB that had just blown out an achilles was the last straw for me, but it wasn't the first one.

 

 

The only thing that Hurney was right about that I was wrong about was not giving up on Thomas Davis, but I agreed with him on Luke when he made that surprise LB pick despite having Beason and TD both on the squad.

Yep, he almost guranteed to be gone. We can save $6m by cutting Johnson.

 

He restructured this year so I think you numbers is off.  Sucks that Hardy put us in this situation.  Before his arrest I was pretty sure we would have kept Hardy and Cut CJ.  Now we are stuck with CJ for a few more years.
