Question.......Why are Pittsburgh's Bell and Blount, aka the "blunt brothers" still allowed to play???   Goodell is not showing leadership as the commisioner. No one fully understands when and why players gets suspended. We can all thank Ray Rice for Hardy being out right now why we still pay him to not play(Hardy has his own role in it, I know). But if it weren't for TMZ and that damn video.......we would not be so upset about Alexander missing more time being suspended.  Thanks Ray.

Goodell has no leeway in drug suspensions. It's all set by the CBA.

I feel sorry for him in that he was making a pretty low salary. Only $470k guaranteed spread over 4 years. He loses this years salary and if we cut him he gets like $100k at best. I don't know the exact details.

 

He likely would have signed a nice extension next year or hit free agency in 2016 with teams after him.

 

10 games means a 4th positive test. He isn't good enough to be signed with a 5th test looming.
