MKG New Shooting Form

Recommended Posts

He doesn't really have a hitch in that clip, it's just a very slow release. I'm sure Price has intentionally got him shooting slow to keep his form true. Last year his release was so jacked because Price revamped his lower body & taught MKG to keep his legs & hips squared, which he did. Now this summer he worked on his upper body & removing that hitch. I'd guess that this year the focus will solely be on keeping his form straight & not worrying that it's a slow shot. Then next summer after his muscle memory has developed over a full year he will work on speeding up his release.

Remember guys, MKG is a project & everyone knew that going in. He's still only gonna be 21 years old next summer with 3 years experience.

Right now we're rolling with Big Al as our star with Kemba & Lance as the other key pieces. MKG is a defensive glue guy & project. However, in 4 years from now MKG could be the star. In 4 years he will have 6 years experience & still only be 24/25 years old. MKG could very well be a superstar by then. He still has that much potential.

Lance & MKG have as much potential as anyone in the league. They could be the best duo in the league in 4 years. I'm just glad the team is patient & putting in the long-term commitment with MKGm because the fan base is very impatient & dumb when it comes to him.

MKG is never going to be the star bc he's never going to be the main scorer or offensive threat. Right now the goal is to make him at least average on offense.

The man just became old enough to drink last week. He is 5 years from entering his prime. He could easily become one of the better SFs in the game. To me personally, his biggest problem offensively is his lack of confidence, which will grow over time.

In fairness, with the Panthers tossing out impact rookies left and right year in and year out it's difficult to be patient with any rookies but that's the nature of the beast in the NBA. Only the truly elite rookie talents get significant minutes on contenders if any minutes at all.

True. These football players go pro after junior or senior seasons. KB is 23, two years older than MKG. Wrap your mind around that.

That is a huge transition (his old shot was 'turrible') and I hope it holds

up under pressure. That muscle memory concern is no joke when he really has to perform under game conditions.

That being said, I am really pulling for this kid to make his mark on this Hornets team...diligent, low-key, good guy who puts in the work.

Go MKG!
