I am

Recommended Posts

I am a panther fan. Through the Rae Carruth drama, through the weinke era, through the years and years of heartbreak. In 2003 I watched my Cubs miss their chance and my beloved Panthers miss the chance. In the end, I am a panther fan no matter what. This year is no different. Things have happened out of the control of gettlemen and Rivera. I long for that roar at BOA.

P.S. I'm about a fifth into a bottle of Jameson and watching season 4 of boardwalk empire. Flame away, I just wanted to get this off meh chest.

I love you all, we are brothers bound by a struggle of our favorite football team.

Keep Pounding.

Even if I don't remember my dad had me sitting up watching the Panthers first season when I was only a year old. I haven't missed a game since at least 1999 and I don't plan on missing one anytime soon. I'll be here for the darkest days because it just makes the brighter days feel even better. I'd never turn my back on this franchise because I've had times in my life where Panther football was the only thing I looked forward to in my life. This team could be 0-15 and I'd still be hella pumped for that final game. Win or lose I'm always excited for Panther football. Jimmy Clausen era, the Super Bowl loss, losing Sam Mills, Fred Lanes murder, Rae Carruth.. poo doesn't matter. I'll always be looking forward to the next Sunday until the day I die. Same goes for my Hornets and Canes.

I wish I could drink a fifth of Jameson on a weekday.

I wish I could get drunk.  My doctor gave me this vitamin shot for low testosterone but said the serum wouldn't just effect my muscles, it would effect my cells. Create a protective system of regeneration and healing. Which means, um, I can't get drunk.

    • Just had Thanksgiving meal with a couple dozen family and friends. I lucked out and got one of the smoked turkey legs. Stuffing, mashed taters and gravy, green bean casserole, sweet potato casserole, kale, smoked ham, chicken and rice, corn, lima beans, cranberry sauce, and great people. My brother got his guitar out and we got to singing. Lots of actual conversations with people I hardly  ever get to see, haven't seen in a while, or who I never met before. Just a great moment to remember.
    • 3-8 would be a higher win percentage than 3-9
    • Same... With the personnel the Niners had, that defense could have been historically good in the right hands. Under Wilks they were certainly good, they didn't quite rise to that level. Honestly, I see Wilks kinda like I see Rivera: fantastic person, decent head coach. Skill wise, phenomenal DB coach, so-so DC. His greatest strength is his leadership. Hard to find many better in that department. In the Xs and Os / execution area though, not as good. Bottom Line: Wilks is the sort of coach that needs a staff that excels in those aspects of the game where he's weaker. But, like Rivera, I don't know that he scouts assistants very well. That as much as anything might be why he's not in the NFL now.
