This week Shula says we have to find ways to get in the endzone

Takes four fuging weeks for him to realize that the offense has to score points to win games. God forbid.

After last game, he made his run comments and proceeded to atleast stick by words

 

So what needs to happen to score more TD's? Im curious to see what Shula does or come up with atleast on his end

 

Well the defense needs to stop giving the offense the worst starting position in the NFL over the past 2 weeks, or the Panthers offense needs to overcome that by being the most productive offense in NFL history. The Panthers are still scoring at a 40% rate on their drives. Not sure you can ask more from an offense that is starting at the 20 yard line and having to go 80 yards every time. The offense has been consistently better than the average offensive performance this season on their drives, and they have actually improved the past could weeks. The defense went from being in the top 5 the first 2 weeks in almost every category to bottom 5 (and in some areas dead last) over the past 2 weeks. Not much Shula can do with this problem.

 

The only thing the Panthers can do on offense to score more TDs is lean on Olsen and Kelvin Benjamin near the end zone and hopefully get Cam running again near the red zone. Throw it up 3 times to KB. He will come down with one of them or Olsen will be open on the other side of the field.

Look, I get the Shula hate. I really do. But many of you are just being childish about comments that any Carolina fan should understand. I'll even interpret them for you:

We have to do a better job of converting our red zone opportunities. Too often we have been stopped by foolish penalties, untimely sacks, and a failure to execute. We have to stop settling for field goals. All of us understand that won't be good enough to get you many W's in this league. We are going to get to work to try to get these problems behind us.

That's what he's saying when he says we need to get in the end zone. We may not like his playcalling, or we may not like the results, but don't act like the guy is a blithering idiot. That says more about you than him.

The reason people act that way is because we have not even sniffed the red zone in two weeks. If he said we need to convert more 3rd downs then fine, but its not like we are sitting in the red zone every drive not scoring.

It's almost as if Shula says, "well we just threw down field 3X in a row, so now we need to run the ball--even with my 4th string back; cause, well...I just should". SMH

 

Not only does he not understand the ebb and flow and rhythm of an NFL game. But it's obvious he doesn't see the match ups that are being won on the field (KB dominating his CB for example).
