Raiders HC fired

Ron better shake things up.

You're nuts if you think RR is going anywhere anytime soon.  RR's Coach of the Year award will earn him some leniency if this season doesn't go as planned.  Pending the season's outcome, there will be changes, but RR will not be one of them.

I'll wait for you to tell me where I said RR is going to be fired. I'll wait all day.

Hubris Jackson was a train wreck for the Raiders as a HC, largely because he rubbed everybody the wrong way.

He is definitely a better OC then what we have currently, but his penchant for being a douchebag can't just be swept under the rug with a blanket "I'm not at work to make friends" kind of statement.

And we could have the greatest offensive mind in football calling plays for us and it wouldn't matter because of how garbage our players are on offense.

Every coach is a train wreck at Oklnd.

You hire him and talk to him to get him acting acceptable.

Like I said id take him and his douchbage attitude over shula and his garbage playcalling.

Well, the title of the thread is about a HC being fired and 'Ron better shake things up' implies some sort of threat of being fired, would you not agree?

I apologize if you were maybe suggesting he better shake things up or JR might not send him a Christmas card or maybe someone may pie RR in the face should the teams performance not improve.  My bad.

Maybe you could expound on your theory rather than creating a thread with 5 word sentence?  Such vagueness will lead to speculation about the intent of your message.

Rivera's not in danger.

Midseason firings are just about always stupid moves made by dumb teams.

Most of the time this is true, but the Ravens fired Cam Cameron midway through the season en route to their Super Bowl victory.

But that should be taken with a grain of salt since Jim Caldwell, a former HC, was there to replace him. Caldwell even got the Lions HC gig from his stint with the Ravens & I don't think we have anyone on the offensive staff who can match Caldwell's coaching accomplishments.

Too piggyback off of my previous statement, I live near Baltimore & watch nearly every Ravens game. Much of the same issues with those Ravens are currently plaguing our offense. Cam Cameron was & still is a very creative play caller, but he simply pushed the wrong buttons at the wrong time.

I'm not calling for Shula's job, but he needs to be reminded that there is no job security in the NFL. Shula needs a revelation along the lines of what Rivera had last season after the loss at Buffalo, a complete change in philosophy that will be for the betterment of the team.

Former Panthers ST coach Scott O'Brien is another example.

He was once considered one of the best special teams coaches in the league, but word was anyone who had to work with him found him to be a total douchebag.

Quite possibly the best example going at the moment though: Jim Harbaugh.

'Winning cures everything" they say.  Apparently not everything, because even with the success they've had the past few years, it's being reported that 49er players hope he finds another job sometime soon.  And it shows in their record this season.

People's tolerance for a--holes doesn't generally go on forever.
