Raiders HC fired

If you ever watched him on Hard Knocks, you can probably figure out why he wasn't hired here.

Hue's a good offensive mind, but he has a personality that rubs a lot of people the wrong way (pretty regularly got on Mike Zimmer's nerves when he was DC for the Bengals).

And my answer to that is stop being a sensitive b!tch. So what if he rubs people the wrong way. Get over it.

Dude is light years better OC than Shula and should have been the obvious hire instead of Shula.

Agreed, but it seems that some peole in this team that don't want people like that around. Take the Steve Smith rumors that he was divisive in the locker room and was frustrated with Cam, whether they were true or not, he was let go. Maybe they made the decision purely on performance, but with the things we've heard, it seems that some in this team wanted Steve Smith out of the door.

Now granted, Shula being hired and Hue not preceded this, but the same principle applies. I think there are some people in this organisation that don't want people that will rub overs up the wrong way around this team.

Have you ever had to go to work day after day after day after day with someone you absolutely couldn't stand to be around?

It's the same as when you look at the guy who broke up with that insanely hot chick.  You say to him "Man, if I was with someone that looks like that, I'd never leave.  Why'd you dump her?" to which he likely replies with something along the lines of "Cause she's a total b--ch and I got tired of putting up with her s--t."

NFL coaches are human, and humans often work together poorly with people they dislike.  Given the choice, they'd rather find someone else who's also good at their job but doesn't drive them nuts.

Shula wasn't my top choice for OC either, but it's worth remembering that he got the job largely due to the endorsement of a guy who plays quarterback here.

It is like this. Ill work with an asshole all day over a nice guy if it means I make for money and have more success in my career.

I am not at work to make friends. At the end of the day I / people gotta get over people's personalities. Especially if it is in the best interest of X.

That chemistry is turning out 10 points a game.

Never mind, Shula is a better option than Hue lulz

Hubris Jackson was a train wreck for the Raiders as a HC, largely because he rubbed everybody the wrong way.

He is definitely a better OC then what we have currently, but his penchant for being a douchebag can't just be swept under the rug with a blanket "I'm not at work to make friends" kind of statement.

And we could have the greatest offensive mind in football calling plays for us and it wouldn't matter because of how garbage our players are on offense.
