Shula is a yes man and is exactly who rivera and gm want right now. gman, rivera and sean are all defense guys.  this is a defense team, they dont want some big shot oc guy telling them what they need to do.

 

 

What? The teams identity has been the offense when Rivera started his tenure, the Defense only showed up last year. The real identity is to run the ball and stop the run.

You can't argue with results. This Carolina offense was top 10 both seasons he was here, had a top 10 offense with Cleveland (who I think is stupid for letting him go so quick), etc. And please don't pull the record card. We were trending up with Chud and he seemed to be getting better in his 2nd year. Cam has matured as a person and passer, we now have Kelvin, and we have 3 tight ends who aren't being used right. Shula out, Chud in! I'm all for it. You know Chud loves those two tight end sets.

Chud doesn't know how to call football games. He isn't an OC.

The only time won is when he called Shula like games at the end.

OL is the issue right now. Changing OCs is just rearranging the chairs on the Titanic

I've observed coaching staffs at the college level where personal relationships between the staff members were prioritized over winning.

It never ended well.

I wonder if the same will apply to the professional level?

Last year the Panthers had 14 +100 yd run games.

 

This year with an "Leashed" Cam Newton, they have 0 so far.

 

So I agree with you. "What Run Game (as offensive line)"!? Cam has been covering for both since his arrival.

 

But I guarantee you, no one in the national media will explain/eat crow that they were peddling ups BS the past three years on the Panthers "vaunted run game". My guess; because they didn't actually watch the Panthers, and/or didn't want to give Cam the credit for being the offense (regardless of the scheme).

 

This year, Newton actually has help in new arrivals--Benjamin, Cotch and Avant, and Shula better find away to keep these guys in the mix and keep Cam upright! simultaneously?
