Rivera: Panthers Tempted to Unleash Cam?

Then if they're able to run the ball with an OL not appreciably better than ours with backs of little note, what does that tell you?

It says it might have something to do with a word that starts with the letter "S" and ends with the letter "cheme".

Guess you forgot already, the same scheme was #11 @ 125 rushing ypg last year.

This year, they are 29th @ 70ypg.

Two differences:  O-line and Cam's health.

my opinion, but cam doesn't look as healthy as he did in his first game back.  unleashing him would seem to insinuate he is getting closer to 100% capabilities.  i really do hope this coaching staff is not throwing caution to the wind and rushing him when odds are this offense is not going to be any good no matter what behind that oline and with the RB situation being what it is.  even in their best effort of the season so far (DET) the offense looked mediocre for the most part.   also, i do not trust shula truly knows what he is doing.  he is currently coaching for his job and is desperate.  i really hope he doesn't get cam killed.  already seen how this story unfolds in washington.  granted RG3 is fragile, but it clearly shows that coaches who are desperate will do dumb stuff for short-term success.

The "unleash" Cam comment is ONLY about wanting him to run more. They have been trying to hold him back from doing that because they didn't think he was healthy enough.

Anyone that can read that statement and think anything different is just looking for a reason to hate the coaching staff/FO.

I knew exactly what he meant, which is why I wrote what I did. Apparently you're one of those who "buys" it.

no poo it's not fixable..  I'm merely pointing out that constantly diverting away from the problems doesn't need much to provoke extreme frustration by changing the meaning of a title..  Simple as that.

whether the OL is fixable or not doesn't changed that.  The diversion has been set on benching Melvin White, talking about the need of a vet RB, unleashing Cam..

That's enough to frustrate most fans when they hear the coach talking about solutions that really doesn't impact the problems...

Since the players can't get better, the coaches better cook up a better scheme, and/or motivate the same or new players to execute. How about that?

At the end of the year, if nobody can; we accept that and move. However, until then, we want to see the team make changes and fixes. Isn't that what any good company does when things aren't going their way?

Panther fans boy. So many just seem like a bunch or quitters, or their not really Panther fans to begin with.

AGreed!

Now, whether changing things up works or not; we'll see?

However, the Panthers just can't give up on the season (like so many fans sound) by just saying "well we know these guys suck, so we'll just Unleash Cam to make up the deficit". Forget the fact he's still injured, but progressively recovering.

How about earning your paychecks coaches by making some decisions that will hopefully impact and change things.

Anyone can do their job when everything is going well for them. You earning your money when you have to problem solve.

our OC sucks. even with a decent oline his scheme was uninspiring.  not sure why you expect him to suddenly be able to design a scheme that is going to work worth a damn.

who knows though? maybe shula will luck into something now that he is forced to do something different than what he originally intended.  either way, the personnel in the trenches just ain't gonna get it done against the teams we will be facing.  i hope i'm wrong, but i don't think i am.

So you think Eli, and the Giants offense has been good, lauded the past few years?

He, they have been god awful.

Just stop please.

Eli was terrible LAST year. That's about it.

I get your point.  You think if they fire Shula, miraculously, we will become a great offense.

No. Those are your words.

I say continually look for a solutions (in either your players, a scheme, an individual on the coaching staff, or someone else outside of it), instead of just accepting the fact that the OL and Shula sucks; almost conceding the season.

PS: to my knowledge; Eli's been gifting the ball away to the opposition at least the last two years, maybe three?  But what I said above was my main point, before you pull us down into a slippery slope.
