Rivera: Panthers Tempted to Unleash Cam?

What's funny is when DA was the QB in game 1 we saw some boot legs and roll outs....Cam comes back and how many of those have we seen....

No idea how they don't get him on the move more often and this is even when he's 100%

Every gameday thread I call for roll outs. Its just smart. Get Cam AWAY from the rush and a bad pocket, make the d chase him a little more and respect the edge.

If there is an open guy he can throw or if the guy is covered he can run for an easy 5 yards. We dont get in 2nd or 3 rd and long and that kills us.

In addition to bootlegs and roll outs it will then open the interior as lbs have to either cheat to the outside or at least have it on their radar.

Saying they are going to unleash means they are more concerned with the outside than true gameplanning.

Mix it all up and keep the d guessing. The o line is simply not good enough to maintain on obvious passing downs.

I am not sure if I believe this but lets assume it's true then I'd say he better pull his nipple shorts down and get with the times. I'll not have that bullshit when we have one of the most dynamic QB's ever...it's complete trash how this organization wastes easy HoF talent with their nonsense. fug Andrew Luck and those other lucky bastard new age QBs.... man imagine if Cam was on that team or if Cam played for SF or Seattle...my god...

Yea Shula see's what's working then immediately does the opposite...usually results in a run up the gut for -2 to +2 yards and a momentum killer. Also I love the whole wait till 1-2 seconds left on the play clock and same snap count every single play. Nothing like having a shitty OL and using the same snap count everytime so the defense knows when to tee off.

This.  Goddamn it all to hell, this.

I'm right there with you man it's maddening how they never run that play....If I was calling plays for Cam there would be no less than 4 bootleg type of plays per game.....So much can come from that too even trick plays once the defense starts recognizing the formation...such as reverses or end around.

That's not going to be the base of the offense or anything just something to keep the defense thinking and on their toes because right now there is no reason for the opposition to respect the edge.

There was a roll out in the Bears game last weekn Cutler had nobody within 10 yds of him and enough time to tweet about his breakfast menu.

So basically Rivera is going to do what he did last season, have Cam carry the pathetic Panthers Offense. Damn shame. 4th season and this team has not gotten one step closer to giving this young man a real offensive team he can work with, But the usual suspects will be doing their best to undermine him because they aren't getting what they want.

Cam is wasting away on this team. Such a great talent of young man playing for such an confused and undisciplined team, along with their ungrateful fans.

The issue is Cam is looking good as hell from the pocket, he doesnt really need to run

Except that its pretty damned obvious that UNLESS HE DOES, other parts of the offensive game (especially the running game by the RBs) will be stonewalled by defensive adjustments that we don't have the ability to compensate for because of our shitty OL.

Cam is the straw that stirs the drink.

That is unless put the straw in the drink and choose NOT to stir.

The only thing about roll-out passes is it cuts your passing zone in half.

Now I'm not saying you're wrong and that we shouldn't try these kinds of things, but you limit your passing options on a roll-out pass.

Is Carolina the new place where QB's go to die? I can't think of ANY OC's that would want to limit Cam. Chip Kelly would sh*t his pants if he could get a hold of Cam.

U are so right.

I am sick to my stomach watching this team kill this kid's esteem. All folks want to do is fix the person on the team who isn't the problem. Talk about a dysfunctional group.

Said that a couple weeks ago.  They keep trying to protect him is gonna get him killed!!!!  Let him play or sit him down and let him get well!!!!!!!!!!

That's the dumbest isn I have ever heard. Protecting a QB is going to get him hurt? What sort of logic are u working with?

How about either the O-line do their damn jobs or bench their asses?  U seem way more eager to sit your QB than u are about benching your pathetic O-line so they can get the message. Go figure.
