Cole sole purpose is to occupy two lineman in order to free up the linebackers... Since he obviously isn't doing that there really isn't a reason to have him on the field.

I'd like to see a 4 man rotation of Star, KK, Dwan, with CJ occasionally spelling 1 of those 3 in passing situations at DT.

Since CJ is having issues getting around lineman, so maybe he can force double teams of the guard & center using a bull rush.

Alexander, KK, CJ, & Addison in theory should have a good chance of getting to the QB... But honestly it can't get much worse than last week, so why not switch is up some?

So far it looks like you were spot on in regards to Short. He really has been the best DT we've fielded to date.
