He was cut first and then decided to retire.

Chris Gamble was a far better corner than what we have now.  Say what you want, but we haven't been right back there since, really.

 

But, he decided to retire after being cut, so the past is the past.

What is he doing now? To my knowledge he is on no social media and hasn't been a part of any alumni gatherings at games. He never had a retirement press conference, and I don't think he even released his own statement when he retired. It was all through his agent.

He virtually disappeared.

One of my favorite Panthers. It was always Smith, Peppers, then Gamble. I miss seeing him out there. Sad day when he was cut, and when he retired. He got his money and got out. Don't blame him.

Chris was and still is very underrated. You can't tell me we wouldn'tve been better last yr with him on the team. Might've even won an extra game. With that said I think he really just didn't want to play for another team and the money we were willing to pay him wouldn'tve been worth his time. I'm sure he still loves football

Gamble was a first rd pick right? He was one of my favorite DBs and it pissed me off how underated he was especially since those were the years Cromartie was getting all the dick riders cause he got picks even though he wasnt that good.
